News 3/7-13/2011

Tuesday night is Fat Tuesday. If you’d like to do something other than drink – come see us for board game night.

Saturday night, I’ll try to remember to set my clock ahead and be here on time for Sunday.

Warmachine players are trying to decide if we will be joining their Shattered Grounds league. If you’d like to download the rules, grab them from here: http://www.privateerevents.com/

A reminder, we recently had two people towed from VFW lot during a large event. Since we don’t own that space, you may park there at your own risk.

Magic players, to get a Faction pin, you have to play a casual game anytime on Tuesday. If you play Archenemy, you’ll also get the Archenemy promo card.

The Future

In June we will be hosting Free RPG day, so we will be needing GMs that day. http://www.freerpgday.com/

  • Sunday: Flames of War

Raid decks and terrain

Assault on Icecrown is here! Since the Pathfinder GM flip mats have been doing well, I bought one of every available one. Also, AEG just sent us a demo copy of their new deck building game, Nightfall.

Miniature break down

Someone asked the other day what our most popular miniature game was.

Because of the escalation league, Flames of War currently has the most games played in store. But when I ran a breakdown for each company to see where I made the most profit in the last 90 days, I actually got these results:

Privateer makes both Warmachine/Hordes. For Games Workshop (GW) we only stock 40K, but we’ll order anything the crowd asks for.

Spartan games makes Dystopian Wars, Uncharted Seas and Firestorm Armada. Currently, they are going through growing pains and can’t keep up with demand. If they get that straightened out, I expect this line to jump up.

Reaper is the default miniature company for fantasy RPGs.

“Other” is the catch all for a couple dozen companies that make up less than 1% each.
