The newest WOW TCG expansion, Throne of Tides, just arrived!
I failed to take a picture of the first box we got in today. It contained a pound of dice in a skull, and a selection of coffins.
Monday is Columbus Day, we will be open our standard hours. Throughout October we will be holding a Magic Draft for Innistrad both on Monday and Wednesday 6:30. $15 entry, prizes for top half. If Mondays work well, we will continue this throughout the year.
Speaking of Magic – at the request of the players, we will attempt to call first round for Friday Night Magic at 6:30 in an attempt to finish earlier.
This Saturday is the release event for World of Warcarft Aftermath: Throne of the Tides set. We will be starting at noon.
Jim Ruh has started his D&D 3.5 game, there are a couple seats open, be here at noon on Sunday.
We have two discount programs, both rely on you keeping your receipts. Any time you have a receipt for at least $70 of product at full price, or multiple receipts that add up to $70 of product at full price, bring them in for a 10% discount on your next purchase. We’ll mark the receipts as used, so they can’t be used again.
The second program is called First Teacher. Buy a game and be the first person to teach that game to another customer in the store. Let us mark your receipt to show that you taught the game. The next game you buy, you’ll get a 20% discount. The list of games no longer eligible is here.

Should we order the Domination Book Release kit? Or should we run the event without the metal coin rewards?
Friday marked the end of our first 3 months in the new location. It was also the end of the 3rd fiscal quarter.
So, what kind of things did we sell in our first three months here? This pie chart shows the percentage of profit we got from each category.
When did we sell them? This is actually a tool we’re using to try to define when we should be open. If we sold the same amount of things every hour, this chart would be flat. But on Friday, the Magic players come in and pay for the tournament, and everyone else leaves – making purchases on the way out. This means we have a huge spike at 6:00 on Friday. It also shows that our lunch crowd doesn’t buy as much as I thought.
Since our players can’t wait, we will be holding a Magic Draft for Innistrad both on Monday and Wednesday this week at 6:30. $15 entry, prizes for top half.

Next Sunday at noon Jim Ruh will be starting up a D&D 3.5 game – he’s already got a couple of players but he could use more.
