Philadelphia’s 2015 Can’t Stop the Serenity (CSTS) is the 10th anniversary charity screening of the movie Serenity with all profits going to Equality Now. This year’s showing is midnight on October 9th at The Hiway Theater in Jenkintown. The event is sponsored by 7th Dimension Games and Guild Hall Brewing Company. Guild Hall is almost next-door and will be staying open until midnight before the show. Fellow Browncoats will be gathering there for dinner at 9 pm.
Tickets available from the Hiway Theater now! The Doors open at 11:30 to give you time to buy your raffle tickets!
After the show, 7th Dimension Games will re-open. The 55 bus stop is next door, so it will be an easy place to wait for it.

While we wait for release day, tonight we will have a $10 Theros Block Draft.
Friday, at 7:00 PM we will be running a $30 sealed event and our first Battle for Zendikar draft for $15. The release day promo Blight Herder will be handed out until we run out. THIS EVENT WILL BE CAPPED at 24 players for Draft and 16 for Sealed. Sign up sheets are out now if you wish to pre-pay and pre-register.
Saturday is our all day casual event, get a free pack for playing and one random person gets a Fat Pack, and one will win a From the Vault Angels!
October 24th & 25th are the Magic Game Days. We’ll be running these Standard Constructed events as free events and giving away the playmats and promo cards.
On Saturday October 3, we will be having an all-day (11AM-10PM) casual event.
Anyone that comes in and plays a casual game, and gives us their DCI number, will get a free booster pack of Battle for Zendikar and entered into a drawing. We will two drawings one for a From the Vault: Angels and one for a Battle for Zendikar Fat Pack.
Winner will be announced on our blog at the end of the night.
Also, since this is the release weekend, anyone playing gets a Blight Herder

In cooperation with PHD and Army Painter, we are holding a painting contest with a $50 prize.
You register for the store competition and purchase a miniature before Oct 2, painting starts on Oct 3. This miniature is the one you will be painting and bringing back for judging on October 28-31.
- We will be taking a picture of you and the winning model and post it here and submit it to PHD
- Winner receives $50 credit towards any Army Painter paints or supplies
- The competition is for miniatures that come on a 40mm base or smaller. Example: No colossal miniatures with a toe on a 40mm base.
- To ensure each miniature is fairly judged on its own merits no dioramas are allowed.
We now have a small, experimental, rental library. You can take a game home for 6 days for 10% of the MSRP with a refundable deposit of 10%. If you chose to buy a game on the day you return it, we will discount the game sale by the rental fee.
