Due to UPS delivering today’s shipment to my neighboor – and NOT telling me – there is no picture of ton of Fluxx or the Flames of War order that arrived today.
Munchkinomicon – the newest Munchkin expansion; Automobile – the new resource management game from Mayfair; and the usual random restocks.
This Saturday is EPGS Saturday for board games all day.
Also at 1, Bob Fanelli will be running a Gladiator miniatures game starting at 1PM. It will involve man to man combat, and perhaps a general tourney using the Arena Games rules and the handsome figures Frank Anderson painted. The game is open to all and rules will be taught as the game goes.
Simultaneous there will be a World of Warcraft Booster draft.
A reminder, we recently had two people towed from VFW lot during a large event. Since we don’t own that space, you may park there at your own risk.
Magic players, we have two new promo cards, Master’s Call and Plague Myr. The only way to get them is to play a casual game anytime on Tuesday or Wednesday night on the off week for the draft. If you play Archenemy, you’ll also get the Archenemy promo card.
Jim Ruh has started a homebrewed campaign for D&D 3.5 called Emerald Isles at 1:00 on Sundays. He currently has 3 players. If you are interested in joining, drop me a note.

New Warmachine models, a restock of Magic Starters and Battlefront finally shipped the Polish dice sets!
A Chtulhu hat just arrived! As did Leverage RPG and the last remaining boxes of Kyuden Tonbo. But you’ll have to wait another week for the Shogun expansion.
Last year 7th Dimension Games sold 409 unique titles of board games (I’m counting an expansion as its own game for simplicity). 234 of those titles, over half of them, sold 1 copy. In fact, over 55% of profits from board games came from titles that sold 3 or fewer copies.
Monday, I was at ToyFair. It didn’t take me long to see a pattern. Companies like Rio Grande, Mayfair or other companies that make gamer’s games tend to use a distributor. The distributor works with hundreds of companies and has a warehouse where they open big crates to break them into individual units. That way I can buy a single copy of a different game every week.
Companies that sell squirt guns, yo-yos, etc either sell direct (or use an agent) and expect you to buy a case of product x. So when they try to sell me a party game they ask how many dozens they can sell me. When I said one single game they looked incredibly confused.
So, ToyFair wasn’t a waste of time, but most of the companies there weren’t selling to me.
