New things for August

The new War Pack for Conquest, and the 2015 Championship Netrunner decks arrived along with several boardgames.

  • Simon’s Cat – a simple card game for fans of the series.
  • Archer: Once you go Blackmail – a new microgame similar to Love Letter.
  • Mansions of Madness – an updated version of the horror board game that now uses an app instead of a narrator to run the game.
  • Via Nebula – explore the board to build a network to build buildings; lots of nice wood pieces.
  • Brew Crafters – a new printing of the game where you compete to make the best brewery.

Karuba

Karuba was on the short list for Spiel des Jahres 2016 (although it lost to Codenames). It is a tile laying game similar to Carcassonne – if everyone had their own city. You hack your way through the dense jungle to find the hidden temples and score points.
