The Blood Bowl league starts this week, if you haven’t contacted or been contacted by the organizers, let me know.

Starting this Sunday, the first and third Sunday we will be doing a Magic EDH. (see http://www.dragonhighlander.net/)

The FOW escalation league is now at 1200 points.

Sunday April 4 is the first EDH game

Sunday April 18th is the pre-release tournament for the new Magic set, Rise of the Eldrazi.

Saturday, May 8 will be Legend of the 5 Rings day.  A single price will include a standard deck, a deck constructed by one of our advanced players and as many freebies as we can get to you.  Details coming soon.

Sunday, May 23 is the Flames of War Tournament.  If we get 12 players, we are a regional qualifier.

The usual schedule

Tuesday:  Magic in the afternoon continues.   At 6 we will be starting open board games – if you have a request for a specific game, feel free to ask.  Another Classic Battletech game. The World of Warcraft CCGs players will also be in on Tuesday night.

Wednesday night, the figure painters will continue to laugh at my attempts to paint my RoboRally figures.

Thursday, we will be playing Legends of the 5 Rings.

Friday, starting at 6:30 we will be running Magic.  Most of our players are interested in arriving earlier and starting earlier.

Saturdays are always busy

  • 11AM: AT-43
  • 12:00 Blood Bowl starts
  • 5 or 6 as the crowd filters out, we have open board games.  The game cabinet is full of interesting things, and you can feel free to bring your own.  We continue to have a growing crowd for games.

Sunday, the FOW Escalation League is at 1200 points.

FOW Results

The 17th Panzer Division had a narrow victory over the Care de Lupta (Rich beat Chris 5 to 4).

Germans vs Germans, Colin beat Pete, 6 to 3.

Pete’s grenadiers lost to Alex’s Italians in North Africa, 3 to 6.

Our newcomer, Charlie won decisively against Colin (another Germans vs Germans, 7v2).

EPGS

Well, the EPGS seemed to have a good time today. We had seven of their players spend a day with us. Several wargames were going on downstairs while a game of Le Havre played upstairs. We ended the day with a few more board games.

I’d save overall, it was a good day for everyone involved.

Learn L5R day

On May 8, you have the chance to learn the Legends of the Five Rings CCG with some of our best players. We will be teaching the game and building you a custom deck. Details are in the works.

This week

There is a group of people forming a Blood Bowl League in April. It looks like we have more than 10 people interested, let me know if you want to be added to the list.

D&D has Encounters program – a collection of 1 or 2 hour long D&D scenarios. If someone is interested in running these on a weekly basis, let me know.

Wednesday Magic Drafts are now every other week. This week we will be doing a draft. If we ran an EDH tournament on the opposite Wednesday, would anyone be interested?

This Saturday is the first EPGS (http://www.epgs.org/) Saturday. This is our first official EPGS game day and they have been invited to play all day. If you want to swing by anytime during the day and see what games are on, please do so.

D&D Game Day

I just had someone volunteer to run the D&D Player’s Handbook 3 Game Day Adventure on this Saturday at 1.

If you are interested in playing, please let me know.

This week

There is a group of people forming a Blood Bowl League starting next month. It looks like we have more than 10 people interested.

John Benett is still willing to run an RPG on Fridays if someone contacts me, or him.

Bob Fanelli has said he is interested in running a D&D 3.5 campaign on every other Sunday. We haven’t settled on a first day, but if you would like to join the group, let me know. So far, we have 2 people interested in the game.
