I have narrowed down the choices on a new place, and started to talk to the landlords, but hav not signed a lease yet. We are still on track for a new place in September.

Our numbers for the D&D Encounters have dropped off. If you are interested, please come out on Wednesday so that we don’t cancel future events.

No Magic Draft this week.

Sunday, is the pre-release event for Magic 2011. We will be giving out free pizza as part of the deal. We will start passing out packs at noon and start the first round at 1.

Upcoming Events

On August 14 we will be hosting a used board game auction. Any game you care to sell will earn you store credit for the full amount of the game.

Sunday August 22 is the next Warmachine Tournament. It will be 25 points.

This week

Tuesday: 5:00 WoW TCG. 6:00 open board games.

Wednesday night, the figure painters will be doing the obvious. The D&D Encounters are at 6.

Thursday, we will be playing Legends of the 5 Rings.

Friday, starting at 6:30 we will be running Magic. Most of our players are interested in arriving and starting earlier, so we will be trying that. Warmachine pick up games will start around 6.

We will be closed on July 4th (unless you bribe me with a suitcase full of money)

The new location hunt continues. I have narrowed down the choices and plan on starting negotiations.

A few guys are coming in Friday night to play Warmachine, feel free to join in.

Suddenly customers

Since Tuesday starts slow, I figured I’d take a moment to reprogram my credit card machine (we just switched providers). I didn’t realize that in the next 20 minutes 3 people were going to show up and want to spend a few hundred dollars.

Ah well, in the end they all got what they wanted. Now I have to restock my copies of Dominion…

Tomorrow, I will be stopping in Glenside to look at another new store location so I can move the store in September. Watch for details.

It look as if we might actually get some Legend of the Five Rings RPG play in the store. We will see…

We did have 6 players for the D&D Encounter last Wednesday. This week we will try to start at 6 again. If you are interested, but need a later start time, I will be happy to reschedule to whenever the majority demands.

This Saturday 10 a group of 5 guys have agreed to meet to play Twilight Imperium or Warrior Knights, this means they have 1 or 3 available seats. Also Saturday is EPGS open play all day long.

Saturday at 2 we will be using the Call of Cthulhu Living Card Game Game Night Kit. Now is the time to jump in!

What’s going on

I am still negotiating with a couple of new landlords so I can move the store in September. Watch for details.

The Legend of the Five Rings Role Playing Game is released this week. If you need a copy, let me know quickly to make sure I order enough. We have been talking about running the RPG in the store at some time if people express an interest in doing so.

Speaking of roleplaying, we have 4 people talking about playing the Serenity RPG in the store it will include some first time players. Let me know if you want to get in contact with them.

Last week our D&D Encounter got delayed, so this Wednesday at 6 will be our first D&D Encounter. If you are interested, but need a later start time, I will be happy to reschedule to whenever the majority demands.

Sunday we will be celebrating father’s day by playing Battlestar Galactica (no, I’m not quite sure how one relates to the other). There is a strong likelihood that we will be using the Pegasus expansion. A few seats are still available.

We are now accepting pre-orders for Magic 2011 booster boxes for $100 each.
