Last announcement for 2009

During this odd year-ending week, feel free to stop by during the afternoon for a board game or two – we open at noon from Tuesday to Friday.

Coming up on Saturday January 30th we will be running a Warmachine Game using the new rule set. If you know you need a book or deck of cards, let me know so that I can pre-order everything.

This week:

Tuesday: A friend of mine wants to play the BattleStar Galactica board game. We could use an extra couple of players in the late afternoon or early evening.

Wednesday night, the figure painters will be in the store doing what they do best.

Thursday, we will be playing Legends of the 5 Rings and World of Warcraft CCGs, unless people demand it we will close before the New
Year arrives.

Friday, will be open at noon as usual. At 6 we will be running Magic. This is an official tournament, but technically not yet FNM.

Saturdays are always busy:

10AM: Pokemon

11AM: AT-43

Noon: Monsterpocalypse – every player earns a prize!

3:00 PM Arcane Legions!

5 or 6 as the crowd filters out, we have open board games. The game cabinet is full of interesting things, and you can feel free to bring your own.

Sunday the Flames of War Escalation League will bring out a 600 point army.

Here’s the schedule for the FOW mid-war escalation league:

  • 600 point army January 1 – January 30
  • 800 point army January 31 – February 27
  • 1000 point army February 28 – March 27
  • 1200 point army March 28 – April 24
  • 1500 point army April 25 – March 21
  • 1750 point for the tournament will either be March 23 or March 22 and 23. We’ll firm that up soon.

I now have a full line of Vallejo model color in stock!

Future announcements: in 2010 there will be a Flames of War escalation league. To participate, find an opponent and fight a Mid-War 600 point battle before Jan 30th.

Monday: Because of the big storm making you miss your Saturday shopping, I will be open on Monday for your last minute shopping from
2-9.

Tuesday: Help me remember Magic! If you challenge me to a game of Magic from 2PM to 5PM I will punch your frequent booster buyer card.

Wednesday night, our painters will be in. If you’ve ever wanted tips on how to paint, or to commission something painted, drop by.

Thursday is Christmas Eve, so the store will be closing at 6PM.

Friday, is Christmas, so the store will be closed.

Saturday is Boxing Day, with the usual suspects:

Last night we eventually gave into the snow and closed early.

Today however, the sun is shining and the VFW parking lot is clear, so feel free to come on down.

So far this week, I am a little late doing everything!

Yesterday, I did get one guy taking me up on my “Help me remember Magic” offer. The offer will continue. If you challenge me to a game of Magic from 2PM to 5PM I will punch your frequent booster buyer card.

People in the Flames of War Tournament, please register withFlames of War so we have an official game.

2:00 Bob Fanelli will be running a Revolutionary War miniatures game. The battle of Waverly Heights, which took place in Cheltenham Township, near the intersection of Limekiln Pike and Church Road on December 7, 1777. It was part of the Battle of Edge Hill. First 8 people to stop in and sign up.
