Planeswalkers for Diversity

We are trying to start a local chapter for Planeswalkers for Diversity An inclusive group for diverse people, primarily set around Magic the Gathering, but allowing for other games if the crowd desires.

This will be our first Monday Night meeting. Hopefully, we will become more organized as we go, but this week will be chaos as we assess who actually comes out and what they want to do. Bring decks for all the formats you want to play and we’ll see what happens! If we have enough for a pod, we will run a draft. Starting the following Monday we will announce casual play or tournaments to meet membership demands.

**New Magic players**, we will be happy to give you a lesson and some cards.

If you’d like to tell us you are coming and see the group grow, please join us on Meetup.

Dark Souls board game

We’ve been asked by a few people about backing the Dark Souls Board Game Kickstarter. They have a retailer level and retailer exclusives not available to individuals, and an early release date.

So, we’ve decided to do this, we need those people to put their money where their mouth is. If we can get at least 3 people to give us a non-refundable $50 deposit, we will kick it. The ball is in your court.

Bob Fanelli Presents…

… The Battle of Clontarf on April 23 at 1PM

The game commemorates the 1002nd anniversary of the Battle of Clontarf, which took place just outside Dublin on April 23, 1014.

This is a mass battle game, using about 400 figures in large formations at a scale of about 1:35. The rules are simple, and focus on challenges, battle fury and shock – units pushing each other.

There is room for up to 10 players. It will probably take about 3 hours. If you’d like to play, please let us know.
