This Saturday at noon is our sealed deck release event for the new L5R set, Gates of Chaos!
New board/card game: Bruges, Eons, Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, Bioshock Infinite, Colossal Cave, Shafausa, Sushi Go!, the first expansion for the Lord of the Rings DBG and the long out of print Downfall of Pompeii.
1A Games has taken over the Tide of Iron property and are releasing new expansions, so we have the base game on the shelf.
Also, for Warmachine: Prime Axion Colossal Vector, Diffuser Light Vector, and Axis the Harmonic Enforcer.
Star Trek Attack Wing (which plays like X-Wing) arrived today! Also new today: Pandemic: In the Lab; Zombies!!! Zombie Zoo; Rise of Augustus; and Scoundrels of Skullport, the Lords of Waterdeep Exapansion.
Also, we did a purchase of a White Wolf collection. Most of the books are in near mint condition.
Starting this Sunday we are going to see if we can get a few Star Wars LCG players to come out around 2PM. Feel free to join us. If you haven’t played the game yet, come out and we are sure someone will loan you a deck.
We have 2/3 of a order from Battle Foam put together. If you want foam designed for your X-Wings, Warmachine/Hordes, Malifaux or Flames of War, let us know and we will add your request to our list.
We have a local National Candidate Master that wants to start a chess night. He’ll be here starting July 2 for the following few Tuesdays around 6 or 7 to try to find opponents. If you are interested, let us know – or just show up.
Just a reminder that this week’s FNM is 2 Headed Giant. If you’d rather draft we have a pod of Modern Masters, and a pod of Return to Ravnica block.
July 13 and 14 are the Pre-Releases of Magic 2014 (M14). The first starts at Midnight Friday. Two more on Saturday at 9AM and 6PM. Two Headed Giant happens at 2PM. Sunday, we have our last two at noon and 6.
Sunday July 14th we’ll be modifying our prize structure. Instead of our usual 1 pack per win, on Sunday we’ll go to 5 rounds and you must have a 3-2 record (or better) to win prize packs. This is an experiment, so vote with your dollars as to which format you want.
I know what you are thinking, isn’t the Malifaux 2.0 event on Sunday? Yes, but at 6, we turn the store over to a geek folk band called The Doubleclicks.
Never heard of them? Here, listen to this.
So, we’ll see you Sunday night. The suggested donation is $5, but bring an extra $2 for a cold Mexican Coke.
